U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota: Legislative History

Congress organized North Dakota as one judicial district, authorized one judgeship for the U.S. district court, and assigned the district to the Eighth Circuit. The act became effective upon the admission of the State of North Dakota on November 2, 1889.
