U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico: Legislative History

Congress organized New Mexico as one judicial district, authorized one judgeship for the U.S. district court, and assigned the District of New Mexico to the Eighth Circuit. The act became effective upon the admission of the State of New Mexico on January 6, 1912.
