The act of September 14, 1922, 42 Stat. 837, authorized a temporary judgeship for the court and provided that the first vacancy occurring two years or more after the date of the statute in the office of the judge appointed to fill the temporary judgeship not be filled. In accordance with the statute, no successor to John McGee was appointed.
