In 1988, Congress amended the Center's statute to establish the Federal Judicial Center Foundation, a private nonprofit corporation with the sole authority of accepting and receiving gifts made for the purpose of aiding or facilitating the work of the Federal Judicial Center. The Foundation's website includes information about the Foundation Board, guidelines the Board has adopted to help it determine whether to accept gifts offered to the Foundation, and other useful information.
